jeff and cate :: married

I first met Cate quite a few years ago now, while we were both working at Banana Republic. We shared many a good times working in the stock room and board folding sweaters.:) Cate has since spent a year in France, met the man of her dreams and moved to Virginia!! A lot can happen in just a short time. Cate and I have been able to keep in touch through the wonders of Facebook and she has been very supportive of my photography since I began, which means so much to me! When she got engaged and asked me to be a part of her July 3rd wedding day, I was more than excited!! Cate-you are such a wonderful, genuine, person and I know you have found true happiness with Jeff! I wish you both nothing but the best! Thank you so much again for inviting me to share you and Jeff's special day!!

Perhaps one of the most beautiful moments of the entire day was Cate dancing with her father. There was not a single, dry eye in the house when they floated across the dance floor to the tune of "You Raise Me Up", as recorded by Josh Groban. Just beautiful.






During the reception, we we are able to duck out to have a brief photo session with Cate and Jeff!






Cate's grandparents have a beautiful home with many wonderful landscapes and photo opportunities, so we drove (less than 5 minutes) to their property. Thank you Cate and Jeff for enduring the mosquitos, spiders and other critters, all in the name of a few photos! I think it was worth it...












One of the final events of the evening was the bouquet and garter tosses. And the winners are...


We could not pass up sparklers on 4th of July weekend!!
