On May 29, 2011, Val and Ben were married in a beautiful, jewish celebration with all of their family and friends. It was my first Jewish wedding and I very much enjoyed my experience and learning about all of the cool traditions that take place! The day was also a reminder of how we all need to learn to "go with the flow". I think all parties involved on this day did a pretty fantastic job at this concept! :) The Tornado sirens only made things more interesting for an hour or so in the middle of the day... hehe.
Val-I have very much enjoyed getting to know you through e-mails over the past months and it was SO nice to finally meet the two of you and celebrate your day with you! Congratulations and I wish you all happiness! :) I am so grateful you invited me to share this milestone with you all!
I love, love, love all the details of this day-the colors, the invites, the lemon theme, etc. So creative!
And then the tornado sirens sounded and the storm came rolling in...
In the midst of the chaos of pre-ceremony, Val was STILL putting together her own flower bouquets!
Ben presented Val with a very special necklace-a family jewelry piece.
The Rabbi...
But they told me I could...:)
Awesome car. Would you believe it had been in an accident only a few weeks before??
Best. Cake topper. Ever.
