Jake and Lindsay were married on July 23, and I could not be happier for the two of them. I was so excited when they originally contacted me to shoot their wedding- i always love documenting wedding days of people i know! Lindsay and Jake both studied at Alma, where I also went to College. I remember Jake being a fun loving, talented, and dedicated member of the Alma College Percussion Ensemble and Lindsay as a sweet, easy going, education major. Both have become school teachers and are now happily married! Yay! You guys are such wonderful people and I have a feeling your future is filled with much more happiness, successes, and most of all LOVE. Thank you so much for inviting me to share your day with you. It was truly an honor! :)
It was one of those really hot days, so fans were a great idea!
All the flowers were beautiful, but Lindsay had an absolutely gorgeous bouquet!
Everyone enjoyed some lunch before getting ready for photos and other pre-ceremony hanging out.
True friends steam your wedding dress for you on a 90 degree day...
Adorable bags that were made for each bridesmaid.
The hanger was a gift-love it!
She had the most amazing cathedral style vail!
Sorry, but I could not resist more flowers...
"Why didn't someone tell the photographer Lindsay's Dad was coming in to see her for the first time in her dress!!!" I caught the end of a very, very special and tender moment.
*we interrupt this lovely bride getting ready to bring you a little bit of Jake and his guys*...
And now, back to our regularly scheduled program: Lindsay putting her vail on!!
Lindsay is SO ready! Two enthusiastic thumbs UP, people! :)
And here we go...
Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs.
And now it is official...
The poor Flower girl was very tired by the time it was her turn for photos.
Delicious cupcakes...
What a fantastic gift idea: a basket full of "firsts".
