We arrived on Monday morning and spent most of the day relaxing, catching up, and getting the girls aquainted with one another. Later that evening we traveled to Newport News, VA. to have a cook out at Aunt Anne's house and visit with Ben and Abbey, but I forgot the camera for that. :( Oops!!
The next day we set out for a 2-hour drive to Nagshead for a day at the beach!! PERFECT weather. 90 degrees. I miss it already!:)
After awhile we needed a break from the sunny beach, so we retreated to Matt's mom's house nearby, changed our clothes and headed off to Chris's heaven: Kitty Hawk, the Wright Brothers Memorial.
Ella enjoyed it as much as her Daddy...
Oh, and did I mentioned the extreme pollen attack while we were there?? Poor Audi...
Most of the next day, Wednesday, was spent relaxing. Ella found Maggie's toys and the boys found Matt's PS3...
All that relaxing meant we had to burn off some energy later. It was absolutely the perfect evening for a stroll through Colonial Williamsburg...
Now on to Thursday: BUSCH GARDENS!!!
The little kids had fun in the kid park...
And the big kids (us) had fun in the big kids park...
Ok, and the big kids had fun in the little kids park too...
And little Maggie just could not stop talking about these "dancing ladies"(never mind the men in shorts dancing with them)...
Beautiful, clean park. Another fun-filled day.
Emmie!!
The drink of choice on this trip. (and ok, ALL the time)...
We love our little girls...
On Friday, the boys went go-karting, the girls went shopping, we all napped and then the boys took their little girls to the park to play!! Aunt Anne even babysat the girls at night so we could enjoy an adult dinner out!! Thanks Aunt Anne!:)
Saturday, we packed up, went for one last stroll (and lunch) in Colonial Williamsburg, and headed back north to MI. Thanks again Matt, Katherine and Maggie for a blast!!
