rock the frock :: nina

I should start this blog off with how much fun my friend, Nina is. We have shared so many laughs, great conversations, walks, and orders of potato nachos at The Cottage Bar over the past 4+ years we have known each other! hehe.

We first met while singing in a church choir, Schola, down at St. Andrews Cathedral and became friends as we realized all the things we had in common and the fun we had when we hung out together! Little did we know when we met that 4 years later, she would be getting married on New Years Eve and I would have the honor of standing up as a bridesmaid for she and her now husband, Chris!:)

Nina has also been a huge supporter of me in my photography business as it has grown from nothing in the past 3 years. In the beginning, she was always game for letting me use her as a practice model as I explored different locations for shoots and learned techniques! Very grateful for this!! I was so excited when she mentioned an interest in having me do a "Rock the Frock" session after her wedding!

Nina, I had so much fun (as usual)with you-driving around town, capturing some pictures, and capping the evening with potato nachos (of course) at The Cottage Bar! You are a great friend! Oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:) I hope you like your sassy photos!

I think we both thought I was crazy for having her wave the scarf like this, but for some reason, I like how it turned out.

This is just the proof that Nina thought I was crazy. At least she was laughing at me instead of running from me. :)

I love these next few, in the flowers. It was SO hard to choose just a few. I did my best to narrow it down!

I am pretty sure right after these photos there was a comment like, "If we weren't such good friends, that would have been really awkward just then..." So funny!

And of course, time for some railroad tracks!

Originally, we wanted to go to the public library and take photos in the "Romance" section with this book Nina was in the middle of reading. Since we had not requested permission in advance to go in there to take photos, we could not. I decided the next most logical place to read a romance novel would be a railroad track, naturally.

Nina saw this right after I took it and wanted me to take another picture because she thought she looked mean. I think she looks super hardcore, so I kept it. What do you think? :)
